Dancing on the wires

It’s obvious that we’re going in the wrong direction
The mirror shows the way but we follow it’s reflection
We’re staggering through darkest night
Lost is the path, forgotten the light
The candles all are burning down
On every face appears a frown
The moist drops down the trees extinguishing the fires
The spoken words are blown away dancing on the wires
Scribbled paper, carved wood
Tell a tale so tender
Put your hands down, hold your breath
Let your soul surrender
My shadow hangs down from a tree
Looking at me
Eyes opened wide
Reflecting the skies, the trees
My mind’s framing words
I can’t use
they just abuse
I can’t wait
It’s too late
To change the fate
Tell me what’s the game about
If you want to see me jump and shout
Jump and shout
Jump and shout
The opening was vast and bold
The gods dressed up in
Silver, ivory, marble, gold
The water sprinkling
Fresh and clear
Drops
Dissolving
On
My
Tongue
