Luiza Zan s-a născut în 1980, la Tulcea. A făcut liceul la Piatra-Neamț şi apoi a fost admisă fără examen la Conservatorul de la Iași. În 2004 a câştigat cu trupa Slang “Trofeul Cerbul de Aur”. În acelaşi an a obţinut premiul al II-lea la Festivalul de jazz din Montreux.

A cântat cu cei mai cunoscuţi artişti de jazz din România şi cu nume sonore ale jazzu-lui din Ungaria. Pe lângă activitatea concertistică, Luiza Zan a compus piese de jazz şi a scris muzică pentru piese de teatru şi pentru film.

Luiza Zan a predat jazz vocal la Conservatorul din Bucureşti, la Școala Populară de Arte din Sfântu Gheorghe şi are propriul studio de canto.

Luiza Zan was born in 1980, in Tulcea. He graduated from Piatra-Neamţ high school and was admitted to the Iasi Conservatory without examination. In 2004 he won the “Trofeul Cerbul de Aur” with the Slang band. In the same year he won the 2nd prize at the Montreux Jazz Festival.

He sang with the most famous jazz artists in Romania and important names of the jazz scene from Hungary. Besides the concert activity, Luiza Zan composed jazz pieces and wrote music for theater and soundtracks for films.

Luiza Zan taught vocal jazz at the Bucharest Conservatory at the Folk Art School in Sfântu Gheorghe and has his own singing studio.
