Zavaidoc (Marin Teodorescu) a cântat piese cu un deosebit succes la public, dovadă fiind şi faptul că repertoriul lui, atât cât a fost recuperat, este încă agreat şi solicitat de ascultători. Zavaidoc s-a născut la Piteşti în 1896 şi era fiul unui cunoscut lăutar, Tănase Teodorescu, apreciat viorist şi ţambalagiu.
 

Jean Moscopol s-a născut la Brăila şi apoi vine în Bucureşti unde, între anii 1925-1928, s-a lansat în muzica uşoară. Face înregistrări la Casa de discuri Columbia şi devine membru al Societăţii Compozitorilor din România. Albumul de faţă cuprinde unele dintre cele mai cunoscute cântece din repertoriul său, toate fiind cântece de dragoste.
 

Şlagărele interpretate de Zavaidoc, Jean Moscopol şi alţii încă îşi mai găsesc admiratori, chiar şi în zilele noastre, pentru că poartă în ele parfumul inconfundabil al acelor vremuri, ca o poveste despre Bucureştii de-altădată. Ele vorbesc despre oameni simpli, cu pasiuni clocotitoare, iar toate acestea într-o formă elegantă, romantică sau pasională.

Zavaidoc (Marin Teodorescu) sang songs with great success, evidenced by the fact that his repertoire, so far been recovered, is still requested by listeners. Zavaidoc was born in Pitesti in 1896 and was the son of a famous musician, Tănase Teodorescu, an appreciated fiddler.
 

Jean Moscopol was born in Brăila and then comes in Bucharest where, between 1925-1928, was released in popular music. He records to Columbia and became a member of the Society of the Composers from Romania. This album includes some of the most popular songs from his repertoire, all love songs.
