Buricul pământului

Numele trupei provine de la un loc din Sibiu, aflat, înainte de „restaurare“, în Piaţa Revoluţiei. După o activitate de 4 ani şi un album înregistrat (10 piese), în 1998, Buricul Pământului se destramă. Elsis Matei, membru fondator, reface trupa in 2002. În 2006 le apare al doilea album Suflet flămând la Soft Records. Videoclipul Ce ţară frumoasă avem, o satiră acidă a „societăţii de consum“ româneşti, este difuzat de principalele televiziuni muzicale şi atinge locul 1 în Romtop CityFM. Formaţia se destramă în 2008, Elsis formează Caustic iar ceilalţi membri trupa TAGMA.

The band’s name comes from a place in Sibiu, located before the “restoration” in the Revolution Square. After 4 years and a recorded an album (10 songs) the band dissolved in 1998. The founder Elsis Matei (voice) restores the band in 2002 with Adrian Tecoanţă – drums, Viorel Costin – guitar. In 2006 it appears the second album Suflet flămând (hungry soul) on Soft Records. The video for Ce ţară frumoasă avem (What beautiful country we have) an acid satire of the Romanian consumer society is broadcasted on the main music television chanels and reaches number 1 in ROMTOP CityFM. The band is breaking up in 2008, Elsis is working now with Caustic band and the other members of the band reunited in a new group called TAGMA.
